How many genders do we have? Prepare your own honest answer before reading further.

Three options: 1) one gender, 2) two, 3) three, 4) never thought about that.

4) never thought about that. That was my exact answer before I've started this story.

Of course, it's one! "We can have only one gender" is the obviously correct answer.

Each of us is either a man,..

...or a woman.

Wait, it is two already! It appears "we have two genders" is the correct answer.

Let's check out third option. What if we actually have three genders instead of two?

People of a third gender... are treated differently by men and women.

...Men and women treat him differently. He treats the other two genders differently either.

We find it difficult to say if he is a man... or a woman right away.

...Though we don't have this kind of a problem with other people.

But what if everybody aroud believes that there are only two options?

Here is a brilliant solution: let's distinguish them by their clothes!

So, who are that third gender people wearing colored clothes to look like men or women?

Only children can visit men's and women's toilets freely.

Verification: does each gender have distinct features?

Each pair of genders should have something in common.

And that something should be missed for the other gender.

Children have no idea of rules, they can't set them and obey them by themselves. Both men and women can deal with that.

Child can't set up and hold the frame

Women can't afford challenges and put themselves on trials by their own will. Both men and children just adore that.

Woman can't give a dare.

This is not proper behaviour for men to display feelings, and sometimes they don't see feelings of others as well. Both children and women are living in the sensual world of feelings.

Man can't feel.

So we have a consensus: each of genders is lacking something other two have in common.

Now for something completely personal

In a time you need something you lack, there is only one option...

To switch your gender.

Changing your gender is giving up a part of your own Self.

It is ether impossible or one of above?

We need to learn those unpleasant choices.

Unclenching our fist to set our hands free.

Is it better to be gender-less, if so?

...Like zero.

Each child shoud change its gender at least once during a lifetime -- make him be prepared.
