JetStyle launches WikiWall — wiki-poster.

Yekaterinburg-based company JetStyle launches beta-version of WikiWall service — wiki-poster, which allows group of people place on one page and edit blocks of text, pictures and videos.

Every poster is versioned and processes wiki-syntax (WackoWiki markup is used) while viewing the page and supports realtime editing: all editors and viewers see all page changes instantly.

Right now you can use WikiWall to:

mock-up an interface or website;

make presentation or report together;

discuss web-page elements: provide URL which you want to use as background and draw or place text blocks above it.

In general, wiki-newspaper — is an example of the tool that was called Spatial wiki at WikiSym '08 — wiki which operates not with text pages, but with blocks of information, what are distributed freely on the web-page. And it's probably is the a first good-looking tool of this type.

If authors begin to support some kind of widget technology, like OpenSocial, then using wiki-newspaper pages to set up a dashboard for oneself or for collaborative work with colleagues will be possible.
